Description

A delightful dish featuring shrimp baked with garlic, fresh herbs, and a crispy breadcrumb topping, celebrating flavors and family traditions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the shrimp: Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Make the breadcrumb mixture: In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped oregano, salt, and olive oil; mix until combined.
  4. Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in a baking dish; drizzle with more olive oil.
  5. Top with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down slightly to ensure it sticks.
  6. Bake for about 15 minutes or until shrimp is opaque and topping is golden brown.
  7. Finish by squeezing fresh lemon juice over the dish and sprinkling parsley on top.

Notes

Serve immediately with a light salad and crusty bread. Can substitute shrimp with scallops or a mix of seafood.
