Description

Ingredients

  • 8 cups air-popped popcorn
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, pecans, and cashews)
  • 2 cups pretzels (regular or gluten-free)
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter (or olive oil/coconut oil)

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn and set aside in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Toast your chosen nuts in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until fragrant.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together smoked paprika, garlic powder, and brown sugar.
  4. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat and pour it over the popcorn and nuts.
  5. Pour the spice mixture over the popcorn and nuts, stirring until evenly coated.
  6. Spread the mix on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 250°F (120°C) for 30-40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool completely before serving and store in an airtight container.

Notes

For an extra kick, consider adding a dash of cayenne pepper or crushed red pepper flakes. Adjust spice levels to taste.
