- 8 cups air-popped popcorn
- 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, pecans, and cashews)
- 2 cups pretzels (regular or gluten-free)
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter (or olive oil/coconut oil)
Instructions
- Pop the popcorn and set aside in a large mixing bowl.
- Toast your chosen nuts in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until fragrant.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together smoked paprika, garlic powder, and brown sugar.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat and pour it over the popcorn and nuts.
- Pour the spice mixture over the popcorn and nuts, stirring until evenly coated.
- Spread the mix on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 250°F (120°C) for 30-40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely before serving and store in an airtight container.
Notes
For an extra kick, consider adding a dash of cayenne pepper or crushed red pepper flakes. Adjust spice levels to taste.
