Description
A comforting dish combining umami-rich sautéed mushrooms, fresh vegetables, and perfectly cooked noodles, perfect for cozy evenings and lively gatherings.
Ingredients
- Canton Noodles (fresh or dried)
- Garlic (fresh, minced)
- Mushrooms (shiitake or button)
- Vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, carrots, bok choy)
- Soy Sauce or Tamari
- Sesame Oil
- Green Onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Noodles: If using fresh noodles, rinse them under cold water. If using dried, cook according to package instructions until al dente (4-6 minutes).
- Sauté the Aromatics: Heat a tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden.
- Add the Mushrooms and Vegetables: Toss in sliced mushrooms and vegetables. Sauté until tender, maintaining a crunch.
- Combine with Noodles: Add the noodles to the skillet with a splash of soy sauce. Toss gently to coat the noodles.
- Taste and Adjust: Sample the dish and adjust seasoning if needed, adding chili flakes or garlic powder for spice.
- Garnish and Serve: Top with sliced green onions and an extra drizzle of sesame oil. Enjoy immediately!
Notes
For a lighter variant, swap noodles with rice noodles or zucchini noodles. Use tofu instead of mushrooms for added protein.
